Instant Alert
As a reminder, please be sure to listen to Instant Alerts prior to calling the school. Immediately after yesterday's notice of canceling the concert, our office was inundated with phone calls. Should the alert be the result of a real emergency, we will most likely need to keep our phone lines open and available to contact emergency services. Should the alert be a simple cancelation and/or notice, much worry and anxiety can be avoided by listening to the message prior to calling the school.
Instant Alert Summary
We have successfully transitioned to a new Instant Alert System, SchoolReach. This new system allows for communications such as this new newsletter as well as phone communication. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Ensure that your information is updated in Sycamore. SchoolReach will synchronize with Sycamore once a day so be sure that your information (phone and email) is correct.
- Listen to voicemail prior to contacting the school. In the event of an emergency, we may not be able to answer phones. Instead of worrying unnecessarily, please listen to the message before contacting the school.
- In case you miss the call or the message gets deleted, you can call: 855-955-8500 from any phone that received the alert. You will be prompted as to how you retrieve the message. You can retrieve any message sent over the past 30 days.
- Know that there is a short pause after you say "hello" and that saying "hello" multiple times can delay the message being delivered.
Remember that over the next few months we will look to transition to electronic Thursday packets saving our school time, money and reducing our consumption of paper. Stay tuned.
