READING for 2009/2010
Read
Write a summary (the main
facts and idea) of each chapter and keep them in a folder to be turned in
during the week of August 24th.
The summary should include at least one sentence giving your opinion of

When you have finished
reading the entire book, select one scene from the book that you really like
and prepare a 3-dimensional diorama of that scene. Be sure to neatly and clearly write your name
and the number of the chapter the scene is from (for example, Chapter 5) on the
outside of the diorama.
Your 5th Grade Language Art
teacher will ask to see, or to collect the summaries and the diorama during the
2nd week of school. DO NOT BRING THE SUMMARIES OR THE
DIORAMA WITH YOU THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL.
