Just a few suggestions to help your child have a smooth transition into the

First Grade.

Summer Work

1. Practice writing first and last name.

[Hint: Any fine motor skill activity such as coloring within lines; cutting pictures or coupons, playing with dough, will help with their writing skills.]

2. Practice saying the alphabet, and writing the upper and lower case letters.

3. Practice color and number words from your Kindergarten lists.

4. Read 5 books and record the title and author of each.

5. Learn to tie your shoes!
